Acupuncture is the insertion of needles in to the body as a way of balancing the movement and levels of ‘QI’ or Life Force Energy within the body. It can be used to relieve and manage pain and also to release blockages within the system.
Aromatherapy is the art of using essential oils, extracted from plants, in a controlled manner, to improve and maintain the health and well-being of the mind, body and spirit. Massage is the manipulation of body tissues to produce therapeutic effects. Together they make the most wonderful treatment. A full consultation will precede any aromatherapy treatment. This is so essential oils can be chosen according to the physical and emotional needs of the client.
Amma Massage is the ancient art of Japanese acupressure 'AMMA' (soothing with the hands) brings sheer relaxation and energy in your body and mind. During one hour your body receives more than 3000 stimulations over 140 energy points, through various techniques organised in a specific sequence called 'Kata'. The sequence is orchestrated for maximum effect and uses gentle but efficient techniques. This massage is oil-free and performed over the clothes, which means you can carry on with your day after the session.
Auricular Acupuncture The treatment consists of inserting five small sterile needles into each ear for up to 30 minutes; the needles are placed into points relating to some of the body’s major organs, which include the lungs, the liver, the sympathetic nervous system, and the kidneys. The treatment has an affect on the organ/body functions concerned with cleansing and balancing the body. The treatment involves sitting in a quiet peaceful atmosphere, where relaxation can happen quite quickly.
Bowen Technique is a gentle, subtle and relaxing treatment. The practitioner uses the thumbs or fore fingers to make a series of rolling movements over muscle tissue. It can be used for a whole range of conditions and treats the whole person, not just the symptoms.
Chinese Cupping is an ancient Chinese practice where a flame is introduced into a special glass cup, thus removing the oxygen present. When the cup is applied quickly to the body a vacuum is formed. The skin gets sucked up and rises under the cup as blood rushes in, promoting localised healing. The Qi/chi energy is also warmed and starts to flow freely down the meridians. It can be used to improve circulation and to ease musculo-skeletal tension and pain. It is good for problems in internal organs and also respiratory problems as it opens up the chest; especially good if you have a cold. Please be aware, it can leave bruising marks on the skin.
Counselling is an empowering process, it is for people who are courageously facing their fears, to take control of their life, and fulfil their potential, and have an increased sense of well being
EFT (acupuncture without needles).
In essence, EFT is an emotional version of acupuncture wherein we stimulate certain meridian points by tapping on them with our fingertips. This addresses a new cause for emotional issues (unbalanced energy meridians). Properly done, this frequently reduces the therapeutic process from months or years down to hours or minutes! And, since emotional stress can contribute to pain, disease and physical ailments, we often find that EFT provides astonishing physical relief.

Indian Head Massage covers the areas of the upper back, arms, neck, face and scalp. These areas are gently, firmly and rhythmically massaged. Stimulating scalp circulation relaxes the scalp and tones the muscles, relieving eye strain and headaches, improving concentration, boosting the immune system and generally creating a feeling of well-being. It also eliminates muscle tension and restores joint movement by stretching and mobilising the tissues of the neck and shoulders. The treatment can be carried out through the clothes or with oils and is traditionally performed with the client in a seated position.
Kinesiology is a fascinating method of improving health and well being. It is a series of muscle tests, to identify strengths and weaknesses within our whole system. Food sensitivity testing can be incorporated into a treatment, for problems such as IBS, fatigue or allergies.
Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is an advanced form of massage that aims to stimulate the lymphatic system to remove congestion and stagnation from within the body. A range of specialised and gentle rhythmic pumping techniques are used to move the skin in the direction of the lymph flow. This stimulates the lymphatic vessels, which carry substances vital to the defence of the body, and removes waste products. MLD may strengthen the immune system, can help chronic conditions such as sinusitis, rheumatoid arthritis and skin conditions, relieves fluid congestion e.g. swollen ankles, puffy eyes and it is deeply relaxing.
NLP is the study of how your brain makes you behave and feel the way you do. Practitioners believe that most of our behaviour is learnt from our experiences and from the people around us. This ‘programs’ us to react to the world in a certain way. NLP helps us to understand these programs which are sometimes problematic and helps us to re-program and therefore ‘unlearn’ negative patterns.
Physiotherapy identifies movement abnormalities and maximises movement potential through careful clinical examination, treatment and continual asssessment.
The core skills used by physiotherapists include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, re-education and the application of electro-physical modalities. Physiotherapists also have an appreciation of psychological, cultural and social factors which influence their clients and an awareness of alternative/complementary therapies which can assist with holistic management.
Reflexology is a method for activating the healing powers of the body by using thumb and finger pressures on specific reflex points on the feet. It induces deep relaxation, reducing stress, improving circulation, reducing inflammation, eliminating toxins and generally balancing the whole body system.
Reiki is a subtle yet powerful treatment which aids in unblocking the Chakra System(energy points) in the body. The treatment is performed with the hands in contact with or just above the body. The practitioner acts as a channel for the energy, which then goes to wherever it is needed most. The client usually enters a meditative state and with regular treatments can reach a place of 'True Serenity'.
Seated Acupressure Sometimes called ‘on-site massage’, this is a 20 minute routine given through the clothes to someone who is seated in a specially adapted (and very comfortable) chair. The sequence is based on a traditional form of Japanese massage called Anma. It works to improve the flow of energy throughout the body and acts additionally on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems. Over 60 acupressure points are included.
Sophrology Through various techniques based on relaxation, visualisation and breathing, and with a specific technique called Dynamic Relaxation, mind and emotions are gently balanced, body and mind reconnect, and our abilities and strengths develop. Excellent for phobia treatment, preparation to competitions/exams, personal and professional balance, sleep disorders, self-image issues, and anytime extra support is needed. Please note that generally a minimum of 4 sessions is needed.

The client does not have to be present during the clearing process, however a consultation before and after the clearing is useful. A full report is supplied for each client.
Sports Massage is available for any person wishing to enhance their health and relaxation as well as identifying and addressing any postural, muscular, or sports related problems. This is a deep tissue massage which really gets down to the core of those aches and pains. Not just for athletes!
Swiss Reflex Treatment This is an amalgamation of aromatherapy and reflexology and is a very powerful therapy. Areas of congestion and tension are identified using reflexology techniques on the feet and then a suitable blend of essential oils (in a carrier oil base) is used during the reflexology treatment session.
Theta DNA A theta session consists of talking about the presenting problem and exploring what thought patterns and limiting beliefs are connected to it.
After identifying the beliefs or thought patterns, a muscle testing technique is used to assess whether the belief is held in the unconscious mind as often they are. Once the belief has been identified the practitioner will ask for permission from the client to remove the belief and change it to a positive one. This is then re-assessed.
Time Line Therapy is a process of active imagination where the client imagines floating above their time line and letting go of their negative emotions and / or limiting decisions (or limiting beliefs). Then the client is also asked to imagine creating events in their future that support their goals and outcomes. Time Line Therapy techniques have demonstrated results in a broad variety of presenting problems. It's a powerful technique which allows the client to make long lasting changes in a very rapid way.
